Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character."

25th May 2020. Another act of racism took place. George Floyd's life came to an end because of his skin color. I am utterly heartbroken, disturbed, and truly enraged that African-Americans still have to fear for their life because of something as mere as the color of their skin. In the 21st century, it repulses me that people still have such primitive mindsets and cannot evolve and discern that your skin color does not and will never determine your lifespan. Humanity itself is the cause of discrimination today, and since we are the ones who created these repulsing segregations, we have the power to butcher them. I firmly believe that if we are neutral in situations of injustice, we have chosen the oppressor's side.

Moreover, it is exceptionally disheartening that our nation still discriminates between men and women. A girl child is the pride and destiny of the country. Living in a patriarchal 21st century, rural families still see girls as burdens. They are not provided the right to have an education. They kill girls before they even have a life because apparently, they are embarrassments to the family. I believe that the world needs to discern the commitment required to protect every young girl's rights, every dark-skinned American, and every member of any minority community. A single whisper, if true, can lead to great noise. It is the sole responsibility of people of all colors, genders, races, and religions to speak up and use their voices to make a change and use it for the greater good. Every single person's voice today can bring a difference in the world.

Progressive ideas are the only way to attain salvation for the underprivileged in society and support them to be heirs to success, happiness, and leadership.

Abiding by Mahatma Gandhi, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
